What began as a fun hobby, quickly transformed into a major passion and personal mission.
It all started when I moved out on my own and was looking for a new hobby. My mom had some old jewelry-making supplies, and after experimenting with them, I quickly fell in love with the craft. Before I knew it, I had created so many pieces that I decided to open an Etsy shop—and that’s how BusyBee Jewelry came to life!
The name BusyBee has always been a little “trademark” of mine. It started in high school with BusyBee Pottery, then evolved into BusyBee Photography, and now, BusyBee Jewelry.
Why bees? Well… if you really look at them, they’re actually pretty cute! More importantly, bees play a crucial role in our ecosystem, yet they rarely get the recognition they deserve. Without them, our environment would suffer immensely—a reminder of how interconnected we are with nature.
Through this journey, I’ve also become deeply aware of the overwhelming mass production and consumption of single-use plastics. As a society, we often overlook how frequently we encounter plastics designed to end up in landfills and waterways. This realization led me to create the Seafoam Green Mission—a personal commitment to sourcing materials sustainably through donations, thrifted finds, and eco-friendly packaging.
After almost 2 years of BusyBee Jewelry, my business slowly started turning into an environmental conservation account. I realized that while jewelry was my creative outlet, advocating and working towards a cleaner planet was my passion. At that moment, I decided to rebrand my business into BusyBeech.
BusyBeech is my way of blending art with environmental sustainability, creating a movement that invites and inspires others to take part. Every effort to reduce our footprint, no matter how small, contributes to a greater collective impact. Through my work, I hope to raise awareness, inspire change, and speak for the environment—because if we don’t, who will?
Seafoam Green Mission
Let’s talk about something that’s been on my mind a lot lately: waste. Specifically, the overwhelming amount of single-use plastics and the pressure society puts on us to constantly consume more. It’s everywhere—packaging, fast fashion, and yes, even the jewelry industry. The more I learned about it, the more I realized I couldn’t ignore my own impact. That’s how the Seafoam Green Mission was born.
What Is the Seafoam Green Mission?
The Seafoam Green Mission is my personal commitment to making a difference, starting with how I source my materials. Instead of buying new supplies that contribute to waste, I’ve decided to be more intentional about where I get my beads, jump rings, chains, and other materials. From now on, I’m prioritizing:
🌿 Thrifted & Secondhand Finds – Giving old jewelry and materials a new life.
🌿 Community Donations – Accepting pre-loved jewelry that would otherwise be discarded.
🌿 Eco-Friendly Packaging – Reducing my use of plastic in every way possible.
This way, I’m not just creating beautiful, meaningful jewelry, but also doing my part to reduce overconsumption and waste.
